This week we’re featuring Dawn Quaranta from Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
- Tell us your title, what organization you work for, a quick description of your role and a little bit about yourself.
My name is Dawn Quaranta and I’m the Director of Business Development and Physician Relations for the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH), a 226-bed full-service patient-and-family centered care children’s hospital in Broward County. The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is one of six hospitals that are part of the Memorial Healthcare System.
I’m responsible for business development and outreach, physician onboarding and marketing, customer support to regional providers, and increasing awareness of services in the community.
- What would you say is your department’s biggest challenge, and what are you doing to overcome that?
Our biggest challenge has been accessing good data to be more strategic and targeted when developing our business development strategies, developing partnerships and marketing to physicians.
- When and why did your organization decide to implement the Physicianology solution?
I attended a physician liaison conference a couple of years ago, and quickly realized that we were lacking the data needed to be competitive in our market, which is saturated with healthcare providers. After a very thorough review of all of the products available that would provide us access to the data we needed, we decided the Physicianology™ solution was the best fit for our organization. We currently have over 130 users throughout our organization that utilize the system.
